About Mitsubishi Electric

Mitsubishi was founded in 1870 by a Japanese man called Yataro Iwasaki. The Mitsubishi group has developed into a wide array of companies each with their own applications.

Mitsubishi Electric incorporated in 1921 to go on and market products that were separate from the Mitsubishi parent company. Mitsubishi Electric began to produce in Japan a large number of products and services for all markets and industries.

In 1921-1923 Mitsubishi Electric released its first mass-produced product, the Electric Fan. This production went on to sell over 10,000 electric fans within this period, kickstarting their ability to expand internationally.

Mitsubishi was the first company to domestically produce fuseless circuit breakers (15-35 amperes) in 1933. This boosted their ability to venture into the electrical aspect of Mitsubishi.

Over the following decades, Mitsubishi Electric had developed and pioneered many new technologies still used today.
